Unboxing the Asus Zenphone 2 Laser and First Impressions

I have been wanting to buy myself a new phone since last year but was too busy hanging out at the beach to go to the mall. A week days ago, a friend ask me if I’m willing to review a new phone and I said YES, why not? After two days this brand spanking new Asus Zenphone 2 Laser (ZE550KL) came into my doorsteps and unboxing I did right away.

Here’s the photos I got and some first impressions:

Asus Zenphone 2 ZE550KL comes with a black headset and charger

-Big phone (bigger than iPhone 6). I’m already used to my old Samsung Galaxy V so having this is kinda weird at first but then I loved it because it is much much more easier to type messages and browse internet.

-Long-lasting battery life- I hate bringing my powerbank during trips since I’m a minimalist and travels light. Last weekend I used the phone for the whole day playing games, listening to Spotify, browsing election results and texting and I didn’t have to charge at night since it still has some 30% battery.

-13MP rear camera and the Selfie panorama. I love the quality of the main camera since in my last weekend’s travel I dont have to bring my camera anymore and just used the phone camera. Here’s the shot I used without edit of filter:

I’m not into selfies but when my sister found out the panorama selfie option she doesn’t want to stop taking selfies anymore during our family lunch during Mother’s day. I have yet to maximize the full potential of this Laser-guided rear camera.

-5.5inch HD display made me download a lot of games because I can fully enjoy the graphics with a 720 x 1280 resolution. Let’s play Candy Crush and Forge of Empires na!

-64GB of internal storage and expandable up to 64GB. It also has 3GB of RAM with a quad-core processor that is why the cellphone is actually fast, almost when changing apps from apps.

-Slick design- I love the gold finish at the back and the elegant all-black Gorilla scratch-free front glass.

-Dual-sim- Now I dont have to bring 2 phones while traveling.

How much is this?

Market Price: Php8,995

The final question- Do I recommend this?

As of the moment, YES for it is really cheap for it’s features. I’ll post a thorough review in a week’s time. So wait for that.
