Introducing Palawan Homestays

Who would have thought that I would become an interior designer? Feeling lang! Or rent apartments to transform into beautiful accommodation for my guests. Maybe a start of my real estate success?

Lifehouse Queensize bed

Lifehouse’s main bedroom. Perfect for couples on honeymoon or just having a weekend getaway

Lifehouse tea area

Living area/tea area, when you want to relax or write your postcard to send to family and friends around the world. We have overflowing brewed coffee and tea.

It is true that you’ll do crazy stuff while in pursuit of your dream. So here I am again doing another venture- PALAWAN HOMESTAYS.

My dream is to backpack Europe this year 2016. –> dream fulfilled!

A lot of travelers I met along the way told me that Europe would be expensive. Comparing it with the dirt-cheap escapades possible in the Philippines and the rest of Southeast Asia, I agree. They say, “prepare at least 50Euros a day.” That’s freaking Php2,500, multiply to 3 months makes a whooping Php225,000. Where will I get that? Add the visa fee, insurance, flights and miscellaneous expenses- Maybe around Php300,000. So instead of waiting until I sell 300 pieces of hammocks via my other business Hammock Republic, I thought about this new venture.

In pursuit of my dream, me and some friends is starting up a homestay venture here in Puerto Princesa City. We rented 2 apartments in the middle of the city where travelers can stay and relax after a tiring day of island hopping and tours.

Orange House. bigroom

Orange House’s main room, Air-conditioned

The problem we want to solve is: Why stay in an expensive hotel or pension house if you can have your own house?

The answer: Palawan Homestays. Enjoy the comforts of your own home in Palawan. Check it to see more photos of the house- here.

We have 2 houses that can accommodate 5-6 persons at a max each.

Apartment 1: Lifehouse (photos when you click the link)

Apartment 2: Orange house (photos when you click the link)

Palawan Homestays Dining and Kitchen

Promo Rates:
Whole house: Php1,500/night for 4pax, Php1,700/night for 5pax
(with 1 Air-conditioned room and 1 fanroom)
Extra mattress: Php200/pax
Kids: 8years old below free if not using extra mattress.

We can give special discount for weekly and monthly rentals.

Amenities:

2 Bedrooms (one big with Air-conditioning system, one small small)

1 toilet and bath, cold shower. Super clean!

Full kitchen, living and dining areas.

Laundry area. Lifehouse Bathroom

We don’t have internet because we want you and your friends to talk about your experiences and not be focused on posting #selfie on Facebook.

And we don’t have hot shower- it’s hot in Palawan anyway.

And we don’t have Cable TV, I am just no fan of TV.

Location:

We are located at HappyArt Apartelle, Wescom Road, Bgry. San Pedro. 150meters from the main highway. Coming from the airport turn right at AA Plaza Hotel (if coming from Sabang/El Nido turn left at Mercury Drugstore) to Wescom Road. Look for the white building, Happyart Apartelle, Palawan Homestays is at the second floor of it, doors #5 and #6.

How far is Palawan Homestays from the airport

Tricycle outside the airport would cost around Php50 (for 2-3pax) straight to our homestay. Tour vans can park on our big parking lot in front of our building.

5 minutes away from the airport (less than a kilometer). Walking distance actually.
5 minutes away from City Coliseum (700m) and ATM (BDO/Metrobank).
10 minutes away from the old public market by Tricycle/Jeepney (2km).
10 minutes away from Robinsons Mall by Tricycle/Jeepney (2km).
10 minute walk to Pasalubong Center (1km).

Europe doesn’t have to be expensive. I spent P180,000 for 70 days, including the ticket costing P52,000. I’m confident you can do it too. Good luck with this new venture!
