“I don’t regret the things I’ve done, I regret the things I didn’t do when I had the chance.” –Unknown
Every now and then I receive e-mails from readers thanking me for the blog- it was helpful or inspirational. For all the previous ones I received, thank you so much. But this particular message from Kristin (I asked for permission to publish her message) got me excited to blog more and share my travel stories. I actually read it twice because there are phrases used where I can’t believe will be described of my blog.
This one really warmed my heart BIGTIME and I’m sharing this to everyone because I’m proud of my work and the help I give to other travelers. Yet, I’m also reminded to be humble. Made me realize that the things I do today will not be possible if not for the people who have inspired me before and of course readers who have consistently shared the blog to their friends and colleagues. So to Kristin and all readers, thank you.
Here’s the full letter from Kristin,
Hi Sir James!
I could hardly keep up with your blogs about your “travel discoveries, cultural experiences, strange encounters, and food trips on a low budget”. It was informative, thrilling, exciting, mind-blowing at times, and yes, I must say (sigh) really inspiring. Your love to travel, love for our country, and especially for our fellow Filipinos is just heartwarming.
I initially wrote to ask you for help to inspire a friend, who totally idolize you! He also loves travelling and also dreams of having a blog one day. Actually he started one already but somehow stopped. I’m not sure why though. And so to get him going, I thought I’d check out this “journeyingjames” blogger he kept telling us about.
But instead of getting him inspired, I became inspired. I can’t explain what I feel right now but I was really touched and encouraged with your writing.
And so I write to you now to say thank you. Thank you very much for sharing with us your heart through your posts in journeyingjames.com It truly is one of a kind!
GOD bless.
-kristin
I can’t find words to describe how I feel about your blog. It was simply amazing!”

amen to that mam judy!
i would love to try this in the future,. Thanks for sharing 🙂
