Now A Certified Open Water Diver!

Rejoice with me! I just accomplished one of my dreams- to be a scuba diver.

If you are following me on Twitter you would have noticed that I’m spamming your feeds with dive reports. Sorry, I’m just ecstatic about my new extreme sports.

Now a diver

Yesterday, my SSI OWD license arrived here in Coron, Palawan.

Now I can add a different perspective when I write a blog. It will now include my dives and what’s out there underwater.

I know, diving is quite expensive here compared to Samal Island in Davao or in Dumaguete City. But hey, if I want get certified I want it in Coron. One of the Top 10 Best Dive Spots according to Forbes Traveler Magazine. I want the best baby! I deserve the best and I think everyone deserves the best.

I was talking to a dive buddy yesterday and I was telling them that diving is quite expensive for us Filipinos. So diving here in Coron is really a dream come true. I’m so happy I was able to do it even with limited resources. So I quote myself,

“Let’s do the things we dream of while we are young. If you really want it, money or lack of it is never a problem.”

I will not make this post long. I just want to encourage everyone to focus on their passion and follow their dreams, not someone else’s.

Before I end, to all divers out there, let’s dive soon!

Thanks to Coron Divers for accommodating me warmly at the Dive Shop. Thanks to Kuya Arni and Mike for teaching me the basics. Thanks for helping me reach one of my dreams.

Galing, James! I can’t wait to start the process of getting that crossed off my list. Pag licensed na rin ako, I hope I get to dive with you 😉

Congratulations! I still need to wait for a few more weeks for my PADI Open Water License, I just finished the course last January in Dumaguete City. 🙂 Hopefully, I can go back to Coron and try wreck diving, nagsnorkel lang kasi ako before.
