So you will travel to the Philippines soon? I just wrote places apart from the usual tourist spots in the Philippines. Hope you can consider them as you are preparing to travel in the Philippines. Enjoy!
Read Part 1 here: 13 “Untouristic” Provinces You Should Visit this 2013
continuing the song “Lubi-Lubi” here are Hulyo, Agosto, Setyembre, Oktubre, Nobyembre, Disyembre and Lubi-Lubi….
To help you see the big picture, here is a location map of where to find these provinces:

13 “Untouristic” Provinces You Should Visit this 2013 (Part 2)
Hulyo: Northern Samar

Capul Island’s Lighthouse built during the American Period
Spectacular. Breath-taking. Surprising. This is still my fave in Region 8 or Eastern Visayas. I heard there are more amazing rock formations in Laoang compared to Biri rocks. Ohhh… I almost forgot the enormous caves in Las Navas.
How I wish to explore Northern Samar and go down up to Leyte the second half of the year.
Agosto: Antique

Bugtong-Bato Falls in Tibiao, Antique calls me back again.
After enjoying a 3-night stay in Antique province in Panay island last 2011, I wanted to go back and explore more. I want to see Bugang River and kayak again on Tibiao river. There are more islands to explore too like Malalison and Batbatan. I wish I can pass by the tumultuous sea and have a look.
I would say that this province is the adventure capital of Panay island and I want to be in the middle of the action.
Setyembre: Capiz

At the entrance of Lahab Cave in Dumalag, Capiz
If you love seafood then Capiz is for you. But more than that, it offers a wide range of activities and secrets spots. I love the Lahab cave in Dumalag and there are at least five waterfalls inside Camp Peralta in Jamindan, Capiz. This province is barely scratched by travelers as most are focused in the famous Boracay island. I’m sure Capiz has more to offer and the tourism department is working double-time to prepare the province for the influx of tourists.
Take a closer look at this province, the food is just fantastic how much more the other offerings?
Oktubre: Davao Oriental

Beach-goers waiting for the sunrise at Dahican Beach, Davao Oriental
If I would to retire in the Philippines, you will definitely find me here. I am in loved with this province. Did you know that the first sunrise in the Philippines can be viewed at Pusan Point, Caraga, Davao Oriental? Although Boston, Cateel and Baganga were hardly hit by Typhoon Bopha, I believe this province will rise up again and is a great gift for adventurers like me. Ohhh, please don’t mention surfing in Mati, I’m missing the waves over there.
Think about it, for someone who have been around the country, why would he choose Mati as his retirement area?
Nobyembre: Surigao del Sur

This is my paradise. Find yours…
I found my paradise in Cantilan. Okay, you might find that I’m saying it again and again. So maybe Tinuy-an falls and Enchanted River would get you to buy tickets right now. How about Cagwait White Beach and Ayoke Island? More so, did you know that Surigao has lots of endangered species in her forests? Yep, including that cuddly tarsier you always want to see in Bohol.
Find your paradise in Surigao del Sur. I found mine in Cantilan.
Disyembre: Saranggani

How about a powdery white sand beach where no one else swims except for a small community of fisherfolks?
Maybe Pacman land but this province boasts not only of white sand beach more beautiful than that of Bora. Its a quiet place to try adventures like water-tubing, whitewater rafting, diving, sportfishing and many more. But what I’m particularly interested are the mountain ranges of Kiamba and Maitum. I don’t know why. I’ll find out when I get there already.
Lubi-Lubi: Tawi-Tawi

Somewhere in Tawi-Tawi Province, a crater lake is waiting to be explored.
Last but not the least, a bonus- Tawi-Tawi. When I arrived there April of 2012, I felt I was in a different country. As much as I wanted to stay longer to explore more, I think it would be better if I go back with more friends. Seriously, I want to stay there for at least 2 weeks and see as far as Sitangkai island or pay a visit to Turtle island. But one thing I really want to do. Check up close and personal this crater lake I saw from the plane on my Tawi-Tawi – Zamboanga City flight.
I am leading a Zamboanga City and Tawi-Tawi 5-day backpacking tour on June 5-9, 2013. Check the details if interested: Zamboanga City and Tawi-Tawi Backpacking Tour with JourneyingJames.

Wow! Did not know about the crater lake in Tawi-Tawi. Would love to check that out too.
And Capiz is definitely a must-return! There are still so many “undiscovered” areas there untouched by commercial mass tourism. Likewise for Antique.
Northern Samar I have yet to visit.
i myself dumb-founded when i was checking my sd card. really cool!
