Dominican Republic on a Budget

Dreaming of seeing the Caribbean? Let’s check out what we can discover there on a cheap via Thomas Cook.

With movie set beauty, the Caribbean may seem like it will never be within an achievable budget for your summer holiday. Picture this: what could be better than spending your vacation in the shade of a coconut tree, dipping your toes into crystal clear waters, relaxing on porcelain-white beaches or ambling up a picturesque hillside to get a better view of this paradise.

There are enough pictures in magazines for us all to know exactly what it should look like but it all seems well out of reach. However, all is not lost. Package breaks from tour operators, such as holidays from Thomas Cook, can make this dream come true.

Not so long ago, Caribbean holidays were only for those who were rich and famous, or for very special occasions such as a honeymoon or a special anniversary. As everyone knows, times are tight at the moment and when you book that well deserved holiday you don’t want to feel as if you have paid more than what it is worth. A cheap Dominican Republic holiday such as a late deal are within reach of most budgets, especially if you can tuck a little away each month into a holiday fund or take advantage of the many special offers available.

A holiday in the Dominican Republic is one which will charm you. It isn’t just the picture perfect views and the sunshine, it is also the attitude and ambience of the island. During the day you are carried along on a mellow wave, enjoying the sunshine and the stunning scenery. Maybe a bit of exploring, or snorkelling to watch tropical fish darting about under the sea. Rolling on into the evening a gentle festival atmosphere surrounds the towns, drawing you into the laid-back Caribbean way of life and leaving you with happy memories of a relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable holiday in a little piece of heaven on earth.
