Bite Your Friends with the Wanderlust Bug

Hmmmm… I’m thinking of traveling with a group.

Travelling solo rocks, no doubt about that. But sometimes during a sun downer in a foreign land, you miss your friends (those bums sitting at home!). Here’s an idea: round up as many as you can, hijack their credit cards, and book a chill-out holiday in one of these top three places to enjoy with friends.

 •    Melbourne

Kick back with your friends at this stylish apartment located in St. Kilda. Situated on one of the most picturesque points of the Bay, St Kilda is home to some of Melbourne’s finest restaurants, bars, shopping and night life. Luna Park, Acland Street and the famous Esplanade Sunday Market are right at your doorstep. Join in the action and jet ski or wind surf at St Kilda Beach. Worried that you can’t find that perfect short-term accommodation? Search Roomorama for a selection for properties to find one that’s just your style. Any time of the year, rain or shine, you’ll be spoilt for choice in Melbourne.

    •    Taipei

Just a 10 minute stroll from this spacious apartment, you can visit Taipei 101, the second tallest skyscraper in the world for fantastic views of the city. Take a hike up Yangmingshan and reward yourself with a soak in one of the many hot springs that dot the national park. Not a fan of nature? Walk down Ximending – a shopaholic’s haven just west of downtown. Fill your stomachs at the Shilin Night Market, home of the famous fried chicken steak and oyster vermicelli. All that for just $105 a night. Can’t find the accommodation you are looking for? Post a ‘Shout Out’ on the Roomorama website and hosts can contact you to make an offer. From shopping to dining and entertainment, Taipei has it all. The only thing you’ll find lacking is the time to see all that the city has to offer.

 •    Bali

Surfing, shopping & partying are the three main events in Kuta. If this sounds like your cup of tea, then head over to Bali with your friends and stay in this beautiful villa located in the heart of Kuta. Hop over to Legian beach – a treasure trove of handicraft shops, jewellery stands and chic boutiques to satisfy your shopping craves. Most shops don’t offer a fixed price, so bargaining is a must! Enjoy the sunset and live it up with a couple of cocktails at the Ku De Ta bar in the evening.  Kuta is a well known destination amongst surfing enthusiasts, so get into the spirit and join a surfing class. Just make sure you watch out for that wipeout!

The best way to experience a city is to dive right in and stay in the middle of it all. Roomorama is all about living like a local and enjoying the things what make a city special. So what are you waiting for? Grab those credit cards, book your flights and visit Roomorama now for that perfect chill-out holiday.

I love the photo of the villa in Bali! It looks so grand and spacious. Just did a quick check on roomorama.com and am actually very surprised to see such affordable rates for the huge villas they’re offering. I love (and only) travel in a big group, so this is perfect for my vacations! Thanks for this post!

These places look amazing! I am going to email my friends right now to see when and where they want to go. It makes traveling with a group an easy decision when you know you wont be cramped up in some hotel room. Roomorama seems to have a huge selection of spots too. Thanks for the tip!

Wow that apartment in Taipei looks awesome! I’m travelling there next month with my trekking buddies and can now find a suitable place to stay in that isn’t crazy expensive. Thanks for the heads up! This roomorama thing seems legit!

Wow that place looks amazing, I had heard of roomorama but never thought they would have places like this. I just checked out their site and that is just one of many. My vacation spot options tripled after seeing all of the places and locations they have. Thanks for reminding me!
