Travel Tip Thursday #1 : Bring your own Water Bottle

Starting today I will be sharing some tips to save money for travelers on a budget and people who want to try backpacking soon. Hope you can subscribe to the following Travel Tips Thursday.

It’s a known fact that our bodies need  at  least 8 glasses (2L) of water daily. Imagine buying four 500ml of water a  day at PhP15 each (US& 0.30). Do the math and you will spend PhP60  multiply  that to the days you’re out wandering.

So, I would suggest that you always carry a water bottle with you. It could be 350-750ml, the important thing is that you have it with you always.

I saved  Php50 (US$ 1.08) a day in Boracay for bringing my own water bottle. I would just refill it in the fast-food chain/restaurant/hotel. Just put a big smile on your face before you ask from the hotel. It always works with that small cute curve on your face. Believe me, I’ve done that many times!

Enjoy traveling! Share this tip to others too!

hi james, this is really essential for all travellers. Learned this the costly way after my first trip where my beau and I kept ordering for fruit juices and shakes at restaurants… after that, I bought bottled water instead… havent tried refilling them at restaurants though. 🙂
