Do you still remember that feeling the day after your first visit to the gym? Your muscles wanting for more workout, looking forward to the next sesh. That was my experience days after Schick Exacta’s PARKOUR CHALLENGE.
For those who don’t know what Parkour is: Parkour (French pronunciation: [paʁkuʁ]]) is a French word meaning (obstacle) course. First used to train military but now slowly getting much acceptance especially after Casino Royale and Bourne Ultimatum used the discipline in their cool chase scenes. Parkour includes running, jumping, vaulting, swinging and rolling. Parkour is slowly becoming known here in the Philippines too. Actually Schick has an amazing ad using parker, watch it:
Last August 14, I was invited by Schick to try parker which explains the sore body (even if I’m sporty and surfs often). The event started with the traceurs (what they call those who practices parker, ang sosyal, pardon my French) from Philippine Parkour and Free Running Association teaching us four disciplines:
Jumping above the 10ft high wall (the hardest ever)
Jump and roll (easy!)
Jumping over 1 meter vault (the most fun!)
Precisely jumping on wooden planks (looks elementary but difficult to master)
After almost an hour of serious training. We were given free time, spell eating. Then the activity why most of us cameTHE PARKOUR OBSTACLE CHALLENGE. Competitive as I am, I joined the contest. The Ninja Academy prepared a course of obstacles for us where we apply every disciplined we just learned. The catch? BE FAST & PRECISE. Like the Schick Exacta 2 that promises precision on shaving hair even on the hard to reach area, quickly with the help of Schick Shave Guard Sensitive Aloe. The No.1 Shave Gel Formula in the U.S.
Talking about Schick’s Exacta 2. I’ve been using the disposable ones even before this bloggers invite happened. I really like the nonslip rubber grip as it feels soooo good when I shave my mustache. I’m no fan of “misterswabetype of bigote.” Not to mention it’s so cheap at Php22.50. Now I have my new Exacta 2 System which I love using. The blades are sharp and precise and of course I really like the blue strip which is enhanced with Aloe and Vitamin E making my sensitive face looking “gwapo” after shave. 🙂 The kit is only Php79 and is available in all leading health & beauty stores, department stores, supermarket and drugstores.
Going back to the Schick Parkour Challenge. I didn’t win it. But it was a different kind of high. Enjoyed it, I did!! I’m actually thinking of doing more. Exciting!
But what is more exciting is that Schick gives everyone, yes everyone, no need to learn parkour, an opportunity to visit HongKong and Macau for 2 for the 1st prize; Apple Ipad Air for 2nd Prize; and Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 for the 3rd Prize. Just visit the official Schick Exacta 2 FB page and download the application to make your own movie: https://apps.facebook.com/twssvideoapp/
It’s actually so easy to join! Just download the app, take selfies and submit it to Schick Philippines. Imagine roaming around HongKong and Macau or owning a new Ipad Air or Galaxy Tab maybe?
