Another quickie this time on the beach- Dahican Beach, Mati City in Davao Oriental.
OLIVE RIDLEY TURTLE
It was my second time to witness a WOW event of a mother turtle laying eggs. The first one was a year ago in the same beach. This time an Olive Ridley went back to to where she was hatched estimated 35years ago this time to lay her eggs- 126 in all.
FILIPINO GAME: SIATONG
I remember playing this game when I was 10. Life was simple and text means those movie cards we use to play games. Along with this game, we also played “tumabang preso,” “agawan base” “touching” “dampa” and “moro-moro.” I was glad this is still played in Dahican Beach. I wasted no time and joined the kids. It was crazy good FUN!
“Stoked while waiting for the waves” would be a perfect caption for this photo. Dahican Beach would always be in my heart because here I first rode my first waves unassisted. Here I also practiced my paddling skills for 3 weeks straight. Thanks to my Skim and Surf Team- Amihan Boys who helped me and accepted me as one of them.
