For the love of the thrill.
You wouldn’t believe me.
I thought I already graduated from my hammock-hanging adventures in the unlikely places.
Yep, that’s my new manly pink hammock hanging inside NAIA Terminal 3 just this morning.
Short story: I was supposed to stay overnight in a friend’s house but travel time is about an hour from them to the airport. Since I met with some friends during the night and we ended pass 1:00am, I thought of just going straight to the airport and just wait for my 0745 flight to Butuan.
I was looking for a place or seat to sleep but found that others are sleeping near that spot above so I thought of setting up my hammock and getting some snooze for about 2-3hours before I check-in.
Sleep was non-REM because I would hear some passengers talk while going up the elevator from the ground floor. Once I peeked from my hammock and someone is taking a snapshot. I even heard him say, “tignan mo, may tsinelas pa sa baba” (Look, he has slippers). So I opened the zipper’s hammock and did my surfer’s handsign with a smile. Talk about sleeping in style at NAIA Terminal 3.
Well, that’s the end of it, I just want to share my latest craziness. You see, even if I already got lots of sponsors, I’m still a backpacker by heart.
Ohh and before I forgot, I saw this large board signage at the Terminal too:
It says, “TRAVEL MORE, SPEND LESS.”
Sounds familiar? Look at my journeyingjames logo at the upper left corner. You see I’ve been using that since I started blogging 2010. I hope the marketing people from Travel Club/Allied Bank would stop using my tagline. Be unique, be original, ‘wag mag Copy+Sotto.
How about you? What are the crazy things you did for the sake of traveling?
