I’m always fascinated with waterfalls. Makes me enjoy summer more because of refreshment it gives to my tired muscles.
Let me share with you 2 of my favorite waterfalls, incidentally, these two are both named “Tinago Falls.”
Tinago is a Tagalog word for “hidden.” Although not hidden anymore, these two are majestic when seen prima facie.
Tinago Falls in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte. I’ve been here twice already and I must say that this can be enjoyed by the whole family. Young kids do acrobatic jumps into the falls are just amazing. you can read my post about it when I came there the first time: Tinago Falls- A Hidden Delight.
Why I love it? You can go up on the rocks and jump, go ahead conquer your fear of heights.
Tinago Falls in Caibiran, Biliran. Biliran is a province near Leyte (2hours away from Tacloban City), it boasts of many unexplored waterfalls. This one in the town of Caibiran is an easy escapade. We just rode a motorcycle for about 30 minutes and we found ourselves enjoying the waterfalls all by ourselves.
Wht I love it? The water is not that cold and a portion of the falls can be enjoyed by kids. Not to mention that it was a quick drive from the capital town, Naval.
Wanna know where these two waterfalls’s are? Here’s the Philippine map:
