It was an unexpected invite to Cebu City!
I just came from Hundred Islands National Park (slept using my hammock in one of the islands there) and then checked my e-mail and found out the invite from Summit Circle Hotel Cebu. A 3-day/2-nights all-expense paid trip. How can someone like me say “NO?”
Plus, I saw in the itinerary the complimentary whole body massage on the last night. Boom! I said yes even if that means I need to cut short my adventures in Northern Luzon for a day or two. I just said to myself that it would be a nice break from my hammock-hanging days.
I needed to hurry my Day 23, even if it means a 21-Hour non-stop butt-numbing trip. I was looking forward to a luxurious Days 24-26 in Cebu City. How I wish I have my family with me, a perfect family holiday isn’t?
As soon as we arrived at the airport, we are welcomed by a staff from DOT Cebu and the very energetic crew from Summit Circle Hotel (special mention to our ever bibo guide Widmark Romero). I don’t get a lei that often. hahaha
What a welcome in the “Queen City of the South”- Cebu! The hot and cold face towel, the cold coconut juice and a spanking nice hotel. Ohhh yeah! I love #ISANGDAAN adventures.
I have lots of stories to share but only 3 things I would not forget:
1. Food-tripping at Classic Cuisine. I have never thought that there’s something more than the famous Cebu lechon. I guess 3 days would not be enough to taste everything from the Cebu cookbook.
2. Cebu City Heritage Tour. I have been to Cebu City like 6 times but I never really explored this historic city. Would you believe that it was my first time to see Fort San Pedro? Yes, and I would not forget how I pretended to be part of a Korean tour group.
3. Nice Sleep at Summit Circle Hotel. It started with a good massage, ohhhh, I love it! And a cold beer and I was snoozing. Yep, I was the last one who went down the C2 cafeteria for breakfast the next morning.
But wait! I would not forget Meg and Keisha who always bully me 🙂 (kidding), the DOT star Brian Ong, the Cebu foody Spanky, silent Cecillie, bosing Melo (thanks for the headware again), and Ma’am Lisette. I’m glad that you guys are part of Days 24-26 of #ISANGDAAN Journey

Thank you so much Summit Circle Hotel Cebu for the timely break you offered. For Cebu accomodations, book at www.summitcirclehotel.com. The 3D/2N stay in Cebu City happened during Days 24-26 of #ISANGDAAN Journey.
#ISANGDAAN is a personal journey and challenge to backpack around the Philippines the cheapest way possible for 100 days. “Isang Daan” is a Filipino term that can mean either “one way” or “one hundred.”
If you want to follow my steps, I have an interactive map- ISANGDAAN Journey map.
