Kalibo, Aklan Cheap Accommodations / Hotels / Guesthouse / Inns

A lot has been asking me on where is the cheapest place to stay in Kalibo for the Ati-atihan festival. So I think this will be helpful for budget travelers like me:

La Esperanza Hotel

Osmena Ave. Kalibo, Aklan (at the back of Landbank and near the bus and van Terminal going to Iloilo)

E-mail: laesperanzahotel@yahoo.com
Tel no. (036)262-3989; 268-9254

Room rates:
Cheapest: Fan Room- Php150/head. I stayed here and they have 4 double-deck beds, meaning you are sharing the room with 7 others. Luckily, its was off-peak season so we are only two in the room. Girls have their own dorm room separated from boys. Common bath room too.

De Luxe room- Php 1,456 (good for 3pax). 1 double bed, 1 single bed, TV, bathtub, hot and cold shower.

Family room- Php3,000 (good for 6pax). 3 double beds, TV, ref, hot & cold shower. They also have a suite room which I forgot to get the rates.

Ati-Atihan Festival Hotel

19 Martyrs Street Kalibo, Aklan. Located between Toting Reyes Street and Mabini Street, (near the Kalibo Public Market).

E-mail: macciri@runbox.com or  festival.hostel@yahoo.com
Mobile #: 0926-6214798; Tel no. (036)500-7620
Economy rooms and family rooms are available. There is free wi-fi in the lobby.

Kalibo Queen’s Inn

Tel no: (633) 262-5588

Toting Reyes Street, Kalibo, Aklan
Room rate: Php1,500 (good for 2pax)

Airport Line Inn

Quezon Ave., Kalibo, aklan (5-10 minutes walk before right turn to the airport)
Fan Room: Php300

Garcia Legaspi Mansion

159 Roxas Avenue, Kalibo

I just stayed at La Esperanza Hotel, the others I just researched on the net and from friends.

Hope this helps fellow budget travelers visiting Kalibo, Aklan for the Ati-Atihan or just cruising through when going to Boracay.

Kalibo is just 2 hours away from Caticlan. If you are going to Boracay you may want to read my previous articles:

    Giving my five cents worth:

there is one called “ATI-ATIHAN COUNTY INN”– close to aklan freedom shrine, close to kalibo provincial hospital.. along d. maagma st., just beside the municipal trial court..

lucky enough– mag isa lang ako when i stayed there last dec 17.. i went back dec20 and another traveler checked-in.. yehey! may ksama na ako! hehehehe

for me, this is the best dorm type accomodation.. 150/head/ fan/ spacious.. really a big-dorm type room for budget travelers.. spacious t/b…safe area…clean.. modest… and manage by the local government of kalibo (nakatulong ka pa sa gobyerno hehe)

also, they have de luxe/regular aircon rooms/family room as well…

    Gala tayo (let’s wander!)

It is a common practice in Kalibo. During the Ati-Atihan season, they have their rooms as a “package” with increased rates more than 100% minimum of 3 nights. Making use of the influx of tourists..

Hi. Thanks for this. What can you recommend that is the closest to the airport because my flight gets in from Manila at around 6pm and I will just stay overnight and leave for Caticlan the next day. :)

Journeying James MUCH LOVE to you right now! Was having trouble finding a room for tonight, the ati athihan was trying to over charge me for a dorm style room( 700P even though the website says 270P!) then found ur blog, staying at Esperanza hotel (150P!) both I and my wallet thank you! <3
