Boracay Without the Crowd

I will not be afraid to call Boracay island “the most touristic destination in the Philippines.”

Ask any Korean (or any tourist visiting the Philippines) if they have been to Boracay and the answer would always be yes. If no, then surely, they have heard about this party beach.

So why did I come here? I wanted to discover something new and different.

Like this secret beach my friend Brian showed me:

Somewhere in Boracay Island

This is not Puka Beach. This is not a private beach either. No entrance whatsoever.

How to get there?

No way! I would never share this “secret” beach to anyone lest this cove become a smaller version of Boracay White Beach.

On second thought, I might share the info if you will buy me a RT ticket to Boracay. LOL! I will be glad to be your guide on going there. 🙂 I can also be your travel buddy. Rest assured, when you travel with me you will end up spending less than a packaged tour. Php1000/day is good for two. (Don’t take me seriously okay?)

Experience Boracay, experience it without the tourists, enjoy it without the crowd.

Come closer!

So next time you are in this famed island, don’t limit yourself with White Beach, Helmet-Diving or Henna tattoos. Or you can also check my previous post- Not Your Ordinary Boracay.

This post is a part of Visayas Trails- a 25-day journey around Western and Central Visayas (October 1-25, 2011). My primary purpose is to learn the dialect, meet locals and rediscover the sites worth visiting for my dream escapade next year.

I visited Iloilo, Antique, Boracay, Bacolod, Cebu, Bohol and Dumaguete spending a total of Php11,096 all-in excluding airfare. Thanks to CouchSurfing and friends who I met along the way, this trip would not be memorable and exciting without you.

Great, this is what I like too. I found virgin beach in Puerto Galera in Mindoro. Well, same as yours, without tourists, without crowd.

Good for you! I went to Boracay a couple of months ago and I wasn’t too crazy about it. It was loud and crowded and there were lots of trash on the beach. Sayang, ang ganda pa naman sana.

have you seen the sand erosion on white beach especially in station 3?
and oh, it was flooding when i was there. sad nga! sabi ko nga sa friend ko, “the tourists in boracay are continually raping white beach.”

But something should still be done about the problem.

i will book you a RT ticket to Boracay just to get to this “secret” place only if may piso fare promo. hahahaha….honestly, Boracay is never in my list of places to go to because of the crowd.I would rather go back to Sagada/Pagudpud or Siargao than going to Boracay (the usual spot I mean).

    Hi james,
I been there too in Puka beach and i really long to go back there but couldn’t go back when we went there coz we discover the place 3 days before we had to come back to manila and we still had to finish our diving lesson. So in the end we were not able to go back. But I really like the place. Coz i hate to go to crowded beach.

Hmm. I have the same spot in Boracay that I love too. It’s the quiet part. I wonder if we have the same beach. That will be so interesting!

I lived in that barangay area for days and I had to walk (a two-minute walk) to the beach area just to get to the quiet, serene part of Boracay.

Boracay is nice, but I don’t like too much people sometimes. =/

True, Koreans do know Boracay. When we went there, they were everywhere on the White Beach!
I also don’t like the crowd there, but I was glad that we also got ourselves a private place 🙂

Let me share this little beauty in Brgy. Yapak:

I know where that is!! 🙂 I also know that it involves a fairly long swim (at least that’s how I got there). I live in boracay and I’m always looking for those undiscovered secrets on the island. There’s another secret beach also, and also small but beatiful secret forest.

    Nice blog!
