My 3 New Travel Gadgets: Panasonic LX5, Ipod Shuffle, Nathan Water Bottle

Today marks my 16th month of travel blogging and I am proud to say that blogging has been an avenue for me to have an income as I don’t have a 9-5 job. Yes, you heard it right I don’t have a regular job (for more than 2 years now) and don’t plan of getting one. :)

Along with the income I’m getting from and through the blog, I must say that I got these 3 awesome stuff because of blogging:

1. Panasonic LX5. This camera is a dream fulfilled. The money I used to buy this came from the direct ads from the blog. Php18,200 is not that small for a backpacker like me. If I would use it to travel, it can last me atleast 36 days. All my friends said that the photos captured are gorgeous. Now you can expect better photos on the blog as I handed down my old Olympus T-100 to my younger sister.

Panasonic LUMIX LX5

2. Ipod Shuffle. I won this from a raffle by GandaEverSoMuch when he run a promo by just liking his Facebook page. If I would buy this, it would cost me more than Php2000. Thanks again Kuya Orman! Now my long bus rides and training runs are better spent as I can listen to my music mix. Perfect size too!

3. Nathan Water Bottle. I lost my Nalgene water bottle in Negros Occidental a month ago so the Nathan water bottle is a welcome addition to my stuff while packing. What I love about this is that it has an ID, a small zippered pocket and a hand strap. I just got this for free during the Nathan Ridge Run last Sunday (cost more or less Php1000). Just perfect for traveling and running LSDs. Thanks Nathan Philippines!

Nathan Quickdraw Plus Water Pack

Now I have a spanking brand new LX5, Ipod shuffle and Nathan water bottle with me during my journeys. Very useful for the pass weeks I’m using it while traveling.

To make this year complete, I only have one Birthday and Christmas wish: APPLE MACBOOK AIR 11 inches. When I have this one, I will start the 100 days of Backpacking the Philippines. So please help me praying for a Mac Air. Thanks!

Before  end this post, I just want to thank all my friends and readers for the support (FB shares & Retweets) you are giving. Special thanks to Pinoy Travel Bloggers, CouchSurfing, Mabuhay Magazine, Smile Magazine and Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho Summer Special for making the blog known. Of course, I will not forget the people I met along the way- the kindred hearts that allowed me to stay in their houses, beaches, island for free and the locals who treated me lunch or dinner or beer along the way.

I hope you guys continue to read and share and promote journeyingjames.

WOW! Lumix! This is the reason why I don’t really prefer to buy big DSLR’s if you can have gorgeous photos using a compact handy cam. Less hassle. dream ko to lalo na ung underwater nila sir!

we were talking about the LX5 months before pa diba? it is the perfect camera for me, sleek lang and easy to bring anywhere. kasya nga sa bulsa ko kaysa sa bulky na DSLR.
