An Ode to Sienna, My Travel Buddy

I lied when I said that I travel solo. Now it’s time to face the truth, to say goodbye to my travel buddy, oh by the way, she’s a hottie too. She is actually half-Italian and half-Chinese, slim and red. To my faithful readers, she’s Sienna my companion for the past 18months.

I guess the time will come that you have to say farewell to your amore. Sadly, this is it.

We met last September of 2010. We have ran together, snorkeled, beach bummed, trekked mountains and traveled countless of times. (We also window-shopped at times)

“Oh Sienna, I will miss you. You have been helpful to me a lot of times. You have been with me when friends aren’t available to run. You are there when I was all alone at El Nido, you braved the rain during our run in Zamboanga City. You are supportive during the trek to the Old Volcano in Camiguin. You kept me company while I was on a shoot for the Summer Special of Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.

I can go on reminiscing out times together but it would only hurt my heart. I can’t live with the thought that you can’t join me anymore when I go to Calaguas or explore the Visayas again.

Still, I would like to think of happy thoughts while I’m away. I know that you will be replaced with a better one just what John Mayer sang, “It’s really over… when my loneliness is through, I’m gonna find another you.”

Haaayyyyy…. Wherever you are, keep safe and take care. I will miss you, adios Sienna!”

Note: Sienna is my red VFF Sprint. Yes, my footwear. I named her a year ago, you can even check out our first week of being together. Right now, she is on display at the 2nd floor of R.O.X., Bonifacio High Street for IMPRINTS, a travel art exhibit by Dispatch Magazine. The exhibit will run from Sept. 16-13, 2011. I hope you can see her. Please say my regards.

Dinonate mo sya for a travel exhibit? Namiss ko din tuloy old cam ko, lagi ko ding buddy yun sa travel. Sa byahe talaga hindi mo maiiwasan magkaron ng travel buddy na bagay na lagi mong ginagamit… in someway or another nagiging travel companion mo sya as you share travel memories.

Hanep James, pati si Sienna isang dakilang sikat na rin gaya mo 🙂 Her memories surely will linger to everyone who will see her at the Travel art exhibit of Dispatch Mag.

Kudos and high five to both of you 🙂
