kahit ang dami pwede puntahan sa puerto princesa, bakit ang dami pa din naman masmurang accommodations dun kesa sa ibang lugar? weird lang.
mura talaga sa puerto princesa city and this is an insiders blog post. i consider myself a local na nga ng palawan. may cedula nga ako ng puerto
This would be very helpful James for my trip there this June. Wag sana ulanin
di naman maulan sa palawan pre… ayos yan. enjoy!
Banwa is the coolest! Ang chill ng ambiance at masayang kainuman ang staff.
Hi James, thanks for this wonderful site. Where are you heading on August?

Thanks for sharing this.. Now I have ideas where to stay cheap in Palawan because all along I thought accommodation there are not cheap… I am also planning to visit Puerto Princesa…
my pleasure! glad na malaking tulong sya. pero, yung info ko dyan is last dec 2010 pa ha, so i dont know how much na ngayon.
will update it when i visit palawan, again.
Thanks for sharing this. Buti na lang you post this one. Hope we can visit Palawan this December. Kasi search ako sa net ang mahal ng accommodations. Meron pala mura. Thanks thanks!
yup, i think everywhere in the PH, meron mura na accommodation. challenge lang ang maghanap.
thanks for this james…hopefully to visit Palawan , last week of September. Any suggestion for the itinerary? Thanks
hey jhuvy! just underground river and honda bay tour.
all i know are written on the blog list above.
nga pala..miss reading your blogs na…gulat ako the last time I saw your post is at the “Smile” Magazine of Cebu Pac. Congrats! See you on the road. Godbless!
Hi James!
Find your blog to be helpful especially that I’m planning a family trip to Palawan in june next year. Question? can we do island hopping without a joining an arranged tour? Also, we have 2 days lang in Palawan, what is your recommended itenerary that children (ages 7 – 13) will enjoy.
thanks
yes, you can just go to honday bay wharf and hire a boat there for the family.
from the hotel/inn just hire a tricycle to honday bay, should not be more than php100-150.
at honda bay wharf, there are lots of for hire boats, the last time i was there meron pang Php800, i think its Php1200-1500 na ang small boats today, sila na bahala mag-island hopping.
also note that in every island, you have to pay entrance (Php40-60/pax). i love pandan (the other side) and snake islands. bring snorkle or goggles to save money.
Thanks James. Follow up question on Island hopping. We will be arriving in Puerto at around 9:00 am. Can we still go Island hopping? and yes, I’m thinking of Pandan.
I am also looking for a good but cheap accomodation in Puerto Princesa with pool for the kids. And I saw Moana Hotel, within the city proper. Its published rate is P1400 /night for a big room. Just wondering if you’ve seen Moana or if you can recommend another hotel with same rate.
Thanks again
yes, pwede pa. just check-in sa hotel then straight to wharf na.
okay na yan for the price at malapit lang sa airport.
i havent seen that yet.
would you know of any extended stay accommodation?I’m planning to stay a month in Puerto a month in San Vicente then a month in El Nido.
Thanks!!!!
that’s possible, maybe the best way is to rent a room/small house. usually, its cheaper near the schools/universities.
i find your blog most helpful.thanks.am booked for puertoprinesa on thursday.thanks
pleasure is mine ms.tess! hope to see in pagudpod

And, and, what is your best itinerary advice (at least a suggestion which places to go first with very limited time) for a 3d/2n? Thanks a ton! God bless you. Keep journey-ing!

We are looking for cheaper options as much as possible kasi kasama buong family and mmedyo mahal flights namin kasi wlang direct flights from iloilo or bacolod, we have to fly via Manila
Anyway, if you got the chance to email us back with the cost of the van tsaka if you know somebody that have a boat to hire island hopping and Underground river tour we will be very grateful. Thank you very much and enjoy your travels.

Hi, James.
I have actually been following your blog and it is amazing what you have accomplished. I used to dream like yours, travel…travel…travel. That is one my husband and I’s bucket list. No one is too old to do some traveling.
Anyway, we are a family of 6 who will be going to PPS on June. My husband and I had been there a couple of times way back, so we are not so familiar with places to stay and sights to see.
I hope you could help me out and suggest an itinerary for us? We will be in PPS on June 1 and will be heading back home on the 3rd. Underground is definitely one of the musts for us.
Thanks and more power to you.
God Bless!!!

Hi James! Very well done on your blog! It has become my pastime to read your posts. Helps a lot of people mapping out their trips, too!
Hi James, we are going to puerto princesa on July 2013, is it possible for you to get the underground river tickets for us?
I hope you could locate some apartment for rent hotel style bookings meron kasi ako nakita but its way beyond our budget I want a separate room for my family and my parents.
Hi James. We are 5 in my family. my kids are 15, 12, and 10. First time namin sa Puerto Princesa this November. Do u recommend the P4,400/pax tour package? Discounted ba sa Nov, low season? Im also still looking for cheap aircom family room accommodation for 4 days within the city. Thanks, man.
