I’m on TV! Thanks Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho Summer Special

For those who wasn’t able to watch the Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho Summer Special last Saturday, you can watch the episode here:

The whole day of taping was all worth the 4-minute exposure on national TV. I still can’t believe that I’m watching myself on TV. It was not only a dream come true but a “tap on the back” that Filipinos are now open to the idea of cheap travel or “backpacking.”

As Ms.Jessica said, “Target kasi nyang makapaglathala ng libro na magbibigay ng tips kung paanong makapaglalakbay ng hindi lalampas ng Php500 kada araw and gastos.”

(He plans to write a book that gives tips on how to travel with Php500 budget per day)

Behind the scenes and travel details:

On our way to Padre Burgos, Quezon in the heart of Bondoc Peninsula. It would take more than an hour for vans, buses and jeepneys to go there from Lucena City Terminal.

From Padre Burgos port, take the banca going to Borawan. Banca rental is P800 but I would suggest that you go with the locals, fare would be Php40 only.

There are no food available in the area so I suggest you buy from the mainland or bring ready to eat meal. We just made a makeshift grill and cooked what we bought from the market.

Dampalit, where Dampalitan beach (where there are pine trees like Baguio) got its name. This is about 30minutes banca ride from Borawan.

This was not shown on the episode but it was my first time to see a pawikan (sea turtle). This is in Dampalitan beach. The seaturtle was accidentally stranded on the trap nets for fish. It was surrendered to Bantay Dagat and will be released to the deep sea after the Holy Week.

We ended the shoot here- Mahabang Buhangin, Pagbilao, Quezon. This is the best cove we went into during that trip. I would gladly recommend this beach for every vacationers. can be reacehd more than an hour banca ride from Borawan

So grateful!

Thank you sa mga Researchers, Segment Producers at cameraman na nakilala ko. Thanks to Ma’am Jessica too! Hope you can read the magazine I gave, I wrote an article there, “8 Travel Tips while on the Road.”
