I just want to compile the series of travel tips I shared with you for the past 2 months. I hope you learned a lot. These tips are tried and tested. Some I learned from others, mostly by experience. You can click the Tip for for details of the tip.

    i agree with everything except couch surfing. i haven’t tried it yet! but the reason is i want to surprise myself!

    bring a book! it can occupy you if you’re bored and you can even exchange it with another backpacker. when i was in saigon, i brought a robert parker and exchanged it with a book about gay teenagers. LOL. i had a choice of that or one of a number of books in vietnamese. (btw, let’s exchange links!)

      i noticed that too, in HCMC a lot of cafes have bookshelves where you can trade books.

      yeah, a lot of people are bugging me, asking for itineraries, i want to say that they should research first then ask me after the research. its better that way right?

    great tips! and i think i’m on my way to being a backpacker coz am already doing 7 out of the 8. couch surfing would be a level up for me. dunno if i would dare do that, esp being a girl and traveling alone most of the time…hmmm

    Helpful tips…:-) But we have to be very careful in asking someone and not just trust in one person, try to ask atleast three locals…

    My trick to save money while traveling: Watch out for seat sales from airline companies! :D
