Face it, you are not all-knowing and you can’t memorize all the streets too. Therefore, you need a map. Whether you are a veteran traveler or just starting, you need an accurate map with you as you go along your journey.
What I do before was to buy a map from the nearest bookstore or download and print a map from the internet, but those entails additional costs, especially if I want it colored.
Yet through the years, I have learned a valuable lesson- Don’t buy a map. Ask for one (maybe two?). 🙂
FREE MAPS are available is you are keen enough to look for one. When I travel out of the country, I get maps from the airport before I get a taxi. If traveling in the Philippines, I make sure to drop by the tourism office and ask for one. When I was at the Department of Tourism a month ago, I got all the provincial maps of Regions 4A and 4B. It was helpful as I plan my next adventure.
And before I forget, the Philippine map from Mercury Drug’s calendar was very helpful for me. If you can get that, please do!
Ask for two if you can, so you can pass the other to other travelers.
Enjoy traveling! Share this tip to others too!
